Pinkpop is an annual music festival held at Landgraaf, Netherlands. It is as famous as Summer Concerts of Andre Rieu! It is usually takes place on the Pentecost weekend (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence the name). If Pentecost falls on an early date in May, the festival is held later in June. Starting in 1970, at Burgemeester Damen Sportpark in the city of Geleen, Pinkpop is the oldest and longest running annual dedicated pop and rock music festival in the world. Pinkpop’s journey began in 1970
Pinkpop’s history stretches back to 1970, making it the oldest and longest-running dedicated pop and rock music festival in the world. Its first edition took place on Pinkstermaandag (Whitsun Monday), May 18th, in Geleen, Netherlands. The name “Pinkpop” itself is a play on the Dutch words “Pinksteren” (Pentecost) and “pop”.
Since its origins, the festival has seen immense growth and evolution. It initially started as a one-day event, gradually expanding to a three-day extravaganza in 1997. Initially held in Geleen, it later moved to Baarlo in 1987 and finally found its permanent home in Landgraaf in 1988.

This year’s lineup features a diverse range of popular artists, including headliners Måneskin, Calvin Harris, and Ed Sheeran.
